pod problems

recently i realised more and more people's pods got problem... most of them or literally all of them is either battery faulty or a scratched screen that is partially not visible or totally not visible... i just got mine fixed and now i'm helping my cousin to get her mini fixed... both have the same problem, battery faulty...

could it be the quality checks not being efficient enough or are we users not properly given the right instructions in handling these fragile technologies? how long exactly are we suppose to charge the battery when we first got it? 3-4 hours or 8-10 hours? at first i was told by the service person to charge at least 8-10 hours as its a new pod... ok so i charged till i see the charged sign or roughly 8-10 hours... but apparently my battery seems weak and the battery drains pretty fast...

today i went back and enquired if the battery is still faulty although its a new one... the person now tells me i've over charged my pod and should let the pod go flat totally before recharging it... -_-" which exactly is the right information excuse me? this information is from 2 different personels but shouldn't there be a standard procedure and not give me different information each time i ask?

i'm not blaming anyone but its really confusing when it comes to knowing the right thing and thinking its the right thing... as an end-user i will just have to keep returning to the service center if i get the wrong information and damage my stuff by following the wrong steps... so not profitable to always having the same and more people returning to service the same products over and over again...

it guess it probably based on luck...
if you are lucky to get the right person with the right answer then CONGRATS! problem solved...
but if you are unlucky to get the wrong person with the wrong answer then GOOD LUCK! have fun enjoying an endless cycle of damaging your things and returning to service till the warranty ends and you go broke...
